What is Cooked By Conte?
The Cooked By Conte Culinary Program is a section of our company designed specifically for SDP families who need consistent, in-home meal support, dietary structure, and culinary guidance billed through their FMS.
If that sounds like your household, you may qualify for weekly chef services tailored to your IPP needs.
Talk to your IF about including us in your budget. Our services are billed under sdp service code 320 or 331. We are happy to speak with your IF or FMS if needed.

How does the FMS invoicing work?
We send you a FMS-ready service invoice, and a separate grocery invoice. You or your representative simply sign and submit it within 24 hours after your service date. Groceries are billed separately as per SDP regulations.
Can I choose the days and times for my chef?
Absolutely. You choose the day and time that works best for your family. For example, Tuesdays at 2pm. We’ll confirm your appointment and email you a quick overview of what to expect.
How do you accommodate food allergies?
When completing your onboarding form, there is a question asking if any food allergies or dietary restrictions apply to your household. This is where to enter any food allergies or dietary restrictions so your orders can be adapted correctly.
Similarly, when placing an order with our checkout page, there is a section to input dietary allergies or preferences.

Do I have to pay upfront?
FMS-approved participants are invoiced through their FMS.
Groceries are marked “Client Paid” and can be paid after service using your preferred method.
Can I order for gatherings or meal prep outside of FMS?
Yes, absolutely. We do private chef experiences, group cooking class experiences, private events, birthdays, small gatherings, and more. Call (818) 805-4547 to speak to a human about your event.
Do you shop and clean up?
Yes we sure do. Your chef handles shopping, meal prep, cooking, and cleanup, leaving your kitchen spotless and your meals ready to eat or reheat.
Am I allowed to skip a service date and are cancellations allowed?
Yes, you can skip a service date. We understand life gets busy whether it is a holiday, vacation or an emergency. Just let us know at least 72 hours in advance so we can accommodate your needs and ensure proper billing.
Yes, we offer a full money-back cancellation policy with at least 72 hours’ notice. After that window, preparations begin and the service may be nonrefundable.

Do you always come to the home to cook?
Yes, we are an in home service. We cook fresh healthy meals in your kitchen.
Do you tailor your services to each client’s abilities and comfort level?
Every client is different, so we customize our support to match individual needs and preferences. Some clients prefer minimal interaction and benefit from simple, independent meal routines tailored to individual needs and comfort levels. (See our blog post) Others benefit from being hands-on and learning more about ingredient choices, cooking, portions, and more.
Everyone’s path is different and everyone’s image of success is different- CBC fosters confidence, independence, and long-term success for each client.
How involved is the client in the cooking process?
It is completely up to them. We take the time to understand each participants needs 1:1. Their abilities, goals, and comfort levels are all factors in after determining a culinary system that syncs best to their longterm goals.
I’m not sure how many servings to order, do you cook for the SDP participant or the whole household?
We will provide up to 40 servings of food per service visit, per SDP client.
Can you cook in any kitchen size?
Yes, we can cook in any kitchen size- big or small. Home is where the heart is an we respect your space.
Does the Chef use my pots and pans?
Our chefs are all equipped with their own set of pots, pans, knives, utensils and cutting boards.
If specialty items are needed for a meal, we will make arrangements prior to the service (ie: a blender, food processor, mandolin, etc)
Does food stay fresh for a week?
Yes, we recommend taking into consideration how much food can be consumed in a week when ordering. You can freeze meals such as lasagnas, pastas, proteins, casseroles, latin dishes, asian dishes and soups easily. We will provide clear reheating instructions. We can provide links to freezer safe dishes that we recommend, for your convenience (from Amazon).
What are your portion sizes?
We follow current food guidelines from the 2026 food pyramid. If stricter food portioning is a skill you would like to work on, we can adjust accordingly. If more generous portions are something that a client benefits from then we can adjust as well. Every aspect of our program can be adjusted to fit the needs of each client.
We can make any meals in either 4 servings or 8 servings.
Are groceries billed separately from the service cost?
Groceries are billed separately from service cost as per SDP rules.
Do we have to be home the whole time the chef is there?
We require that the client and caregiver be present at the time of service, yes.
How long does a service take?
It does depend on how many menu items and what serving size you choose but for reference it takes about 1 hour for 1 menu item in 8 servings prep, cook and clean up included.
Can Cooked By Conte cook my favorites?
Yes we can. When filling out our onboarding form you can let us know what your favorites are and we are happy to incorporate them into your menus.
Can Cooked By Conte source specialty ingredients?
Yes we can source specialty ingredients when enough time is provided for sourcing.
Many items are available through Amazon and can be sent directly to you house before the service. We can absolutely source any ingredients needed for substitutions necessary to meet dietary needs.
